Our Lady Queen of Peace Pastoral Area
Pastoral Area Council (PAC Team)

The Pastoral Area Council (PAC Team) of Our Lady Queen of Peace Pastoral Area supports and strengthens the life and mission of our parish community. As coordinators of the various parish ministries, the team promotes active participation, fosters a spirit of welcome, and helps build a faith-filled and caring environment for all.

The PAC Team is made up of a number of ministries and groups, each led by a coordinator:

Baptism Team – Coordinator: Eileen Fitzpatrick
Supporting families in preparing for the Sacrament of Baptism and welcomes new members into the faith community. (Please see information regarding baptism, listed under sacraments)
Bereavement Team – Coordinator: Catherine Barrett
Offers care, compassion, and support to families who have lost loved ones, accompanying them with sensitivity and prayer.
Children’s Liturgy – Coordinator: Lisa Carragher
Helps young children engage with the Word of God in a way that is meaningful and appropriate to their age.
Hospitality – Coordinator: Lorraine Quigley (Chairperson)
Welcomes parishioners and visitors, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere at all parish events and liturgies.
Ministers of the Eucharist – Coordinator: Jean McLoughlin
Assist in the distribution of Holy Communion at Mass and bring Communion to the sick and housebound.
Ministers of the Word – Coordinator: Joan McKenna
Proclaim the readings at Mass, sharing God’s Word with clarity and reverence.
Music Ministry – Coordinator: Maura Melia
Enriches liturgical celebrations through music and song, encouraging active participation in worship.
Sacristans – Coordinator: Eugene Callan
Prepare the church and ensure all is in place for the smooth and respectful celebration of the liturgy.
Social Media & Communications – Coordinator: Kirstie Matthews (PAC Secretary)
Keeps the parish community informed and connected through announcements, newsletters, and online platforms.

Together, the PAC Team plays a key role in nurturing a vibrant, welcoming, and faith-centred community where everyone is encouraged to belong and participate.
