Our Lady Queen of Peace Pastoral Area in the Archdiocese of Armagh, Ireland. The Pastoral Area is comprised of four parishes in mid Louth: Darver & Dromiskin, Kilkerley, Knockbridge & Louth.
Pastoral Area Finance Committee
The Pastoral Area Finance Committee plays an important role in supporting the pastoral area in the careful and responsible stewardship of its financial resources. Working closely with the clergy, parish leadership teams, and the Pastoral Area Office, the committee helps to ensure that all financial matters are handled with transparency, accountability, and in accordance with diocesan guidelines and best practice.
The committee assists in the preparation, review, and ongoing monitoring of annual budgets for the pastoral area and its parishes. It provides guidance on income and expenditure, helps to identify and address financial priorities, and supports longer-term financial planning to ensure the sustainability of parish life and pastoral activities. In addition, the committee contributes to clear and accurate financial reporting, helping to maintain openness and trust within the community.
Members of the Finance Committee bring their skills, experience, and commitment to serve the mission of the Church by ensuring that resources are managed wisely and effectively. Their work supports a wide range of parish activities, including worship, sacraments, pastoral care, faith formation, maintenance of parish facilities, and outreach to the wider community.
The committee also seeks to promote good communication and understanding of financial matters within the pastoral area, helping parishioners to appreciate how their contributions are used in support of the Church’s mission.
