Our Lady Queen of Peace Pastoral Area in the Archdiocese of Armagh, Ireland. The Pastoral Area is comprised of four parishes in mid Louth: Darver & Dromiskin, Kilkerley, Knockbridge & Louth.
Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist play a vital role in the life of our pastoral area, serving across all our parishes. They assist the priest during Mass in the distribution of Holy Communion, helping to ensure that this sacred moment is carried out with reverence, dignity, and care.
Ministers may also bring Holy Communion to the sick and housebound, extending the presence of Christ and the prayer of the parish community to those who are unable to attend Mass in person.
This ministry is a special calling to serve both the Eucharist and the people of God. It is a quiet but deeply meaningful way of supporting parish life and strengthening our sense of community.
All Ministers of the Eucharist are fully supported and receive appropriate guidance and training. We are always grateful to those who give of their time in this important ministry.
If you feel called to serve in this way or would like to learn more, we would be delighted to hear from you. You can sign up after Mass or contact the Pastoral Area Office on (042 682 7418) or by email at olqopoffice@gmail.com to get involved.
